Actor Vishal's upcoming film 'Laththi' directed by debutant director A Vinodkumar is gearing up for release soon. While Vishal will be donning the khaki once again in this film, the film which was initially planned to be released on 12 August, 2022 had been postponed multiple time due to various reasons. Now, the latest is that the film is all set hit the screens on December 22, 2022 for Christmas.

While we had reported a few days ago that the film starring Vishal and Sunainaa is being planned for a Christmas release, the makers have now officially made the announcement.The film has Sunaina playing the female lead with veteran actor Prabhu playing a pivotal role in the movie. While Vishal's cop character will be named S Muruganantham, actress Sunainaa is playing the female lead in this film.

Billed as an action-heavy entertainer, Laththi is directed by A Vinoth Kumar. Vishal is playing a police constable's role in the film. The actor had suffered multiple injuries while shooting for the action scenes in it. Peter Hein choreographed the stunts.

Sunainaa is paired with Vishal in the film. It has cinematography by Balasubramanian and Balakrishna Thota. Music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and edits are done by NB Srikanth.


Produced by actors Rana and Nanda under the banner Rana Productions, Laththi is set to release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.


Vishal also has Mark Antony coming up. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film also stars SJ Suryah in the lead. It is also billed as a pan-India film with release in all major Indian languages.


Produced by Ramana and Nandaa's production house, the film has Sam CS doing the music and M Balasubramaniem handling the cinematography. Interestingly, this is the 12th time that Yuvan is collaborating with Vishal for a film and Pon Parthiepan has penned the dialogues.
