The Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani led Satyaprem Ki Katha has taken a decent start in advance bookings. As of Tuesday morning, the movie has sold 11,000 tickets in the three national chains - PVR, Inox and Cinepolis - and the trends indicate an overall advance in the range of 40,000 in the three chains alone.

Being a reunion of Kartik and Kiara after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the film should take an opening in double digits, however, the advances indicate an opening in the range of Rs. 8 crores, which again will be a good start given the budgets involved. Satyaprem Ki Katha is essentially a word-of-mouth film and hence, it's not the opening, but the Monday that would matter the most. If the film manages to record a minimal drop on Monday, it will be headed for a strong run at the box office.

The biggest plus for Satyaprem Ki Katha is the budget, which is kept under check and the movement in advance shows that there is an interest in the audience. It isn't exactly an event film and a start bigger than Kartik's last release, Shehzada will set the ball rolling for this love story.

The momentum of bookings needs to continue today and tomorrow as its that momentum that will tell us where the film is headed. But the target for Satyaprem Ki Katha will be somewhere around 40,000 tickets in the three chains.

What works for Satyaprem Ki Katha

These days we barely see any romance and family drama in Bollywood movies. It's either an action-thriller, spy universe, Biopic or some remakes. And let us not forget that the core of Bollywood lies somewhere in romanticizing the character and backdrops making the audience relive the aspect whenever they visit that place. And, hereby we find ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ perfectly luring its audience to the cinema with its intriguing twist and romance plot.

Pasoor release of Satyaprem Ki Katha

But, here is another exciting thing about the kartik-Kiara starrer. The fact that someone as legendary as Arijit Singh chose to be the part of the remake of one of the all time hit songs ‘Pasoori’ is not settling well with the audience. The Song was made available just two days ago and while some are fine with it others are constantly questioning Arijit for his choice. To which the singer finally gave a statement and he claimed doing the song because of a very noble cause.
