The stage is set for the arrival of India’s biggest thief, Tiger Nageswara Rao, and judging by its recently released trailer, the film promises to be a grand spectacle that will provide pure entertainment to its audiences.

Starring Ravi Teja in the lead role, the movie is set in the 1970s, during the period when Stuartpuram in Andhra Pradesh was under the sole reign of the dreaded thief Nageswara Rao.Helmed by Vamsee and bankrolled by Abhishek Agarwal, who also produced the controversial film The Kashmir Files, the 150-second trailer of the film opens with a scene in a warehouse where a group of outlaws has assembled to bid for control of the Guntur railway station.

Described as being “inspired by true rumours”, the trailer introduces a character who alerts the police about the planned heist of the Kakinada-Madras Circar Express. When questioned by the officer about who intends to carry out the crime, the informant confidently claims responsibility, stating, “I always give a warning before I hit someone or steal something.” The promo video also asserts that he is a man with a hunger for power, greed for women, and a lust for money.

The film also stars Nupur Sanon, Gayathri Bharadwaj, Renu Desai and Anupam Kher in prominent roles. Ravi Teja’s first pan-Indian film, Tiger Nageswara Rao will hit the theatres on October 20, 2023.

Meanwhile, the makers of the film surprised the audiences during the trailer-launch event by announcing the film’s release in sign language for those with hearing impairment. A separate trailer was also created and showcased to the audiences in the presence of the members of the community.

“Firstly, I am honoured that our film will also be released in sign language, allowing everyone to witness the dedication and training that went into preparing for my character, Tiger. We hope it translates well on the big screen, and audiences appreciate the story of India’s Biggest Thief,” lead actor Ravi Teja said.
